“ What can i really say about Varsity's? Its a GEM in lawrenceville! Ive loved their buffalo chicken pizza since i was little and moving to CA just never cane across the same pizza ever. Delicious delicious and its so nice to see the same people work and provide such family oriented nostalgic service! Love Varsity's. Their meatball sub was so good tooo ”
“ Varsity Pizza is a popular place as I often see a line of college kids in there. And here is why. These guys know how to cook at a price that won't kill you. I just started going there and the portions are very large, but more importantly, the tomato gravy on entrées is similar to New York, Italian restaurants. It has that nice slightly sour authentic flavor that is lacking in most places in central New Jersey in my experience. I recently had the lasagna, which was an absolutely no exaggeration- The best lasagna that I have ever had anywhere. All their dishes seem to be good so far including the pizza and the owners are very nice. I highly recommend this place either eat in or deliver. For dessert they are next to Dunkin' Donuts. ”
“ TLDR: Great food at a great value I was in the area and decided to drop by for a quick lunch. I got two slices of pizza and a meatball sub. Each of the items was massive, especially the meatball sub. The sub was delicious - light tangy tomato sauce and soft meatballs topped with perfectly melted cheese. The prices were very fair for the size of the items. I'll definitely be coming by again when I'm in the area. ”
“ This is our go-to place and has been for the past 12 years. The pizzas are excellent. We get "the works" about half the time: generous, tasty toppings on a great thin-to-medium crust. The other pizzas we've tried are very good, and our favorite is the Brooklyn -- sensational! Our family likely accounts for a fair percentage of Varsity's cheesesteak sales year to year. I like the deluxe, and every once in a while I go for the buffalo chicken version. My wife is partial to their turkey bacon wrap, and we only recently discovered their outrageously good chicken parmesan sandwich. Onion rings and chicken wings are top flight. The staff is always friendly. We almost always do takeout, but you can eat at tables inside. Soccer matches are usually playing on the big screen TVs. ”
“ I like the cheesesteaks here. I ask for extra cheese . And the wings are pretty good but I like to say well done. The lentil soup is good too when they have it. Sausage pizza is the crumbled kind which I enjoy on this particular pizza pie. If I want thin crust bar pie I'll go to a tavern like flower or Jo Jo ”

“ Solid pizza spot. Buffalo chicken pizza is my go to pizza here. In fact this is pretty much the only thing I buy here. It has a great balance of sauce, chicken, bread. Better than most places. The Texas fries are also good. I love that they have online ordering. My biggest complaint is pick-up is pretty sketchy during a pandemic. They have two entrances and it seems like there is always a line in both directions and people are not always physically distanced. Some people have ordered online or on the phone and some people are just placing an order and waiting for their order to be made. It always feels a bit too crowded for both the safety of the staff and other customers. ”
